IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT)

  • The Online Computer Based Test (CBT) is conducted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.

  • The examination is strictly time-bound and will commence immediately after clicking the “Start Examination” button.

  • The examination will be automatically submitted upon completion of the allotted time. No extension of time will be provided.

  • Candidates must log in using only their registered credentials.

  • Login access shall be enabled only during the scheduled examination window.

  • Multiple logins, re-login attempts, or accessing the examination from multiple devices are strictly prohibited.

  • The examination must be attempted only on a laptop or desktop computer.

  • Use of mobile phones, tablets, or any handheld devices for attempting the examination is not permitted.

  • Candidates must ensure a stable and uninterrupted internet connection throughout the examination.

  • Adequate power backup must be arranged in advance.

  • Candidates are required to keep their web camera switched ON at all times during the examination.

  • Any interruption in camera feed, screen switching, or suspicious behavior may result in immediate termination of the examination.

  • Candidates must remain clearly visible on camera and seated throughout the examination duration.

  • The use of mobile phones, smart watches, earphones, calculators, books, notes, papers, reference material, or any electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited.

  • Opening new browser tabs, applications, refreshing or closing the examination page is not allowed.

  • Communication or assistance from any other person during the examination is strictly prohibited.

  • The examination can be attempted only once.

  • Any form of unfair means, impersonation, malpractice, or violation of examination instructions will lead to immediate disqualification.

  • The Examination Authority shall not be responsible for any issues arising due to internet failure, power failure, system malfunction, or browser incompatibility.

  • Candidates are advised to log in at least 15 minutes before the scheduled examination time.

  • By clicking on “Start Examination”, the candidate confirms that all instructions have been read, understood, and accepted in full.
